The seminary has a rolling admissions policy. Nevertheless, there are important time sensitive considerations for applicants.
Most admitted students begin studies in the fall semester. Applicants for the fall semester should submit their applications during the preceding spring semester, normally by April 1. Applicants who have not submitted all the necessary material by April 1 will not be eligible for financial aid from the seminary. The Committee on Admissions cannot guarantee action on any application for fall admission received after May 15.
Application forms and the Academic Catalog are available online. Printed copies of the application packet and Academic Catalog are available by emailing:

The seminary requires the following application materials:
- A completed Application for admission, with the Personal Statement
- A recent photograph (full face, 2 ¼" x 2 ¼")
- A copy of the applicant's baptism or chrismation record
- Official transcripts sent directly to St Vladimir's Seminary by all college, universities, and/or seminaries attended
- Four letters of reference (Letter of Reference Form)
- A non-refundable application fee of $50.00
- Upon admission, students are required to submit a completed health examination form and proof of protection against measles, mumps and rubella. (Persons born prior to January 1, 1957 are exempt from the latter requirement.)
St Vladimir's Seminary does not discriminate in admission or access to its programs and activities on the basis of race/color, national origin, disability, age, marital status, sex, or veteran status. At the same time, applicants are reminded that completion of a seminary program does not constitute a guarantee of ordination in the Orthodox Church. Ordination decisions are only within the competency of ecclesiastical authority.
