The first-ever Composers' Seminar will convene June 27-30, 2007, at St Vladimir's Seminary!

From Wednesday evening to Saturday morning, instructors Rev Fr Sergei Glagolev, Mark Bailey, David Drillock, and Dn Kevin Smith, will deliver presentations to the full seminar membership. Between presentations, composers and faculty will work in smaller groups on liturgical form and function, text-setting, style, and texture, leading to the presentation of works in master classes Friday night and Saturday morning. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in the seminary chapel on Friday morning, for the Feast of Ss. Peter and Paul.

For early arrivals, a stimulating panel discussion is scheduled during the Insititute at 12:00pm Wednesday, "Strategic Planning for the Future of Orthodox Music Ministry in North America," with panel chair David Drillock, and participants Mark Bailey and Dn. Kevin Smith. Your presence and contribution would be most welcome!

Cost: The amounts for tuition, room, and meals, are equal to those of our new shorter-format St Vladimir's Summer Institute, June 24-27. Please see full details concerning all fees on the registration form.

Tuition: The standard tuition rate is $300. Any single-day participants may pay $150 per day (all-inclusive, sessions and meals). Discounts off the week-long tuition rate apply for registrants who pay in full by June 8, and for clergy and alumni.

• Early registration: Those who register at the standard rate and pay in full by June 8 are entitled to a $50 tuition discount. Rooms and meals are not discounted.
• Alumni and Clergy Discount: All clergy and SVS alumni may register for a discounted rate of $175; if paying in full before June 8, $150. Rooms and meals are not discounted.
• Institute/Seminar Combination: Anyone enrolling for both the Summer Insitute and the new Composers' Seminar at full price may receive 20% off the tuition for the seminar. Rooms and meals are not discounted.
