Scope of Program
The Institute provides a unique opportunity for high school students to develop and deepen their love for Christ and His Church within a challenging academic setting.  The program seeks to inspire participants to further serve their home parish and wider community.

Participants
Six high-school students, three male and three female, completing either their junior or senior year, are selected from a pool of applicants on the basis of a strong high school transcript, parish involvement, personal statement, recommendations, and diverse experience.

Activities
•    Presentations on the Institute’s theme by well-known theologians
•    Daily corporate worship
•    Field trips to local parishes and church centers
•    A Ministry to the homeless in the New York City area
•    Evening reflections and discussion
•    Opportunities to meet members of the seminary faculty
•    Fellowship

Program Cost
Each of the six finalists receives a full scholarship from St Vladimir’s Seminary to attend the Youth Institute.  The scholarship covers tuition, room and board, but does not cover travel expenses to and from the Institute.
