Alumnus becomes Bishop of San Francisco and the West

His Grace, Bishop Benjamin (SVS '81) was enthroned as Bishop of San Francisco and the West (Orthodox Church in America) on October 2, 2007 at Holy Trinity Cathedral in San Francisco, CA.

Representing St Vladimir's Seminary, His Grace's alma mater, at the installation were Fr Chad Hatfield, Chancellor and CEO, and Protodeacon Kirill Sokolov, Director of Systems and Lecturer in Liturgics.

His Beatitude, Metropolitan Herman (OCA) presided at the Divine Liturgy concelebrated by His Eminence, Archbishop Seraphim of Ottawa and Canada (OCA), His Grace, Bishop Joseph of Los Angeles and the West (Antiochian Archdiocese), His Grace, Bishop Maxim of Western America (Serbian Orthodox Church) and His Grace, Bishop Tikhon of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania (OCA).
