Accreditation

St Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary is a graduate professional school that is accredited nationally by the Commission on Accrediting of the  Association of Theological Schools (ATS) in the United States and Canada, and whose M.Div., M.A., and Th.M. programs are registered by the New York State Education Department. St. Vladimir's has enjoyed the prestige of full accreditation by the ATS since 1973 (see the history of our seminary here).

The Board of Commissioners of the ATS is recognized by the United States Secretary of Education for the accreditation and pre-accreditation of freestanding theological schools, as well as schools affiliated with larger institutions, that offer graduate professional education for ministry and graduate study of theology. It is also recognized by the current non-governmental organization in the United States that provides the venue for recognition of accrediting bodies, the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
