SUMMER June 3-5, 2013: “Marriage Enrichment: A Christian Perspective”
St. Vladimir's Seminary will offer an interactive marriage enrichment workshop from June 3 to June 5, 2013, entitled, "Marriage Enrichment: A Christian Perspective." The workshop facilitator will be The Rev. Aaron Warwick, rector of St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church, Wichita, KS.
The workshop is intended for all married or engaged couples who wish to discover deeper levels of spiritual and emotional intimacy. Laypeople and ordained clergy are equally welcome. The program is most beneficial if both individuals of the married/engaged couple can attend, but is also open and beneficial to married/engaged individuals, even if their spouse or fiancée cannot attend. The workshop is also open to people of any or no faith community.
(For those buying airline tickets to any event, flight insurance is recommended.)
The workshop is based on the biblical and patristic foundation of marriage as an ultimate expression of the mutual love between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). The interactive workshop will provide a sound theological basis for marriage, with special emphasis on applying these principles in the 21st century. In addition, the workshop will provide couples with a common vocabulary and framework for dealing with marital challenges.
