Outwit the Fiscal Cliff: Year-end gifts will benefit both you and the Seminary

Chancellor/CEO The Very Rev. Chad HatfieldChancellor/CEO The Very Rev. Chad HatfieldConcerns about tax breaks for charitable donations are spiking. A front page article in The Wall Street Journal December 7th noted that capping or eliminating charitable donations by year-end 2012 might be part of the broader fiscal agreement currently being hammered out on Capitol Hill.

NOW is the time to make a charitable gift to SVOTS! To help you understand how to make year-end donations that will benefit both you and St. Vladimir's Seminary, members of our Advancement Team will begin posting advice on the website from now until the end of December.

Here's mine: Gifts of cash or stock of $10,000 or more may be given to SVOTS now, with donor designations for specific projects to be considered in 2013.

May He who is the giver of all that is good extend His right hand of blessing to you and those you love and pray for in this Advent Season.
