How to Apply

Most admitted students begin studies in the fall semester.  During the preceding spring semester applicants must submit a complete set of application materials to the Director of Admissions and arrange for a personal interview.

The seminary operates a rolling admissions policy beginning February 1 and ending June 1. Complete applications received during this period will be acted upon in the month following their receipt.  Applicants who have not submitted all the necessary materials by April 1 will not be eligible for financial aid from the seminary. The Committee on Admissions cannot guarantee action on any application for fall admission received after June 1.

Application forms (with full application instructions and a list of all required materials) and the Academic Catalog are available online.  Printed copies of the application packet and Academic Catalog are available by emailing admissions@svots.edu, or by contacting the seminary during business hours.

Interviews are required of all applicants.  Arrangements for interviews may be made with the Director of Admissions. (Please see Visits and Interviews for more information.)

    Upon admission, students are required to submit a completed Medical Information Form and proof of protection against measles, mumps and rubella. (Persons born prior to January 1, 1957 are exempt from the latter requirement.)  The form may be found under Information for New Students.

    St Vladimir's Seminary does not discriminate in admission or access to its programs and activities on the basis of race/color, national origin, disability, age, marital status, sex, or veteran status. At the same time, applicants are reminded that completion of a seminary program does not constitute a guarantee of ordination in the Orthodox Church. Ordination decisions are only within the competency of  ecclesiastical authority.
