Visiting the Campus of St. Vladimir's Seminary

St. Vladimir’s Seminary is an important site for the history of the Orthodox Church in America, as well as for the Orthodox Church throughout the world. Visitors are always welcome to attend our chapel services, and you may check the chapel calendar for an up-to-date schedule.

While we do stand as a significant site of prayer, history, learning, and scholarship, we are also a private residential community. If you will be visiting beyond chapel hours, we ask that you email visitors@svots.edu to arrange your visit. We have a dining refectory on campus which can host small groups of guests for a fee.

We have limited accommodations for visitors who want overnight stays of up to three nights. Interested prospective students and degree applicants should read the Admissions page. Interested Visiting Scholars should visit the Visiting Scholars page. All others should email visitors@svots.edu with the nature of their request and specific dates for visiting. We offer housing for the purpose of visiting St. Vladimir’s Seminary; in other words, the housing is not a place to stay while visiting other locations in the New York area. We do have a schedule of fees for on-campus housing and meals.

Any visiting guests of ecclesiastical standing (including monastics, deacons, priests, and bishops) in any Eastern Orthodox jurisdiction should email the chapel rector in order to arrange a blessing for a visit. Please email chapel@svots.eduAny clerical guests of other Christian churches or non-Christian traditions should email visitors@svots.edu

Please note that the campus is busiest during the academic semesters, and many faculty, staff, and students are away from campus during recesses.

The St. Vladimir’s Seminary Press bookstore is open during business hours (normally 8:30am–5:00pm; 8:00am–4:00pm during the summer).

We do not allow recreational vehicles (RVs) or camper vans to park overnight on our property.
