Deacon Alexander (Pradeep) Hatcher is a graduate of St Vladimir’s Seminary (M.A., 2013) and began working at St Vladimir's in 2017. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast studies from Gonzaga University, located in his hometown of Spokane, Washington. Before joining the staff at St Vladimir's, he worked in radio and television news in Seattle and Spokane and in public affairs for the City of Spokane municipal government. The son of the Very Rev. Michael Hatcher, Corepiscopos, he was raised in the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church alongside his older brother, the Rev. George Hatcher, and older sister, Sulochana. Deacon Alexander is blessed with his wonderful wife Soosan, son Joseph, and several nephews and nieces.
