Fr. Michael Nasser is excited to begin his next adventure in ministry as the Director of Spiritual Formation at St. Vladimir's Seminary. Prior to this he served as the Pastor of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan since 2015. He began his ministry as Youth Director at St. George Orthodox Church in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, then served a short pastorate at St. George Orthodox Church in New Kensington, Pennsylvania before serving for 10 years as Camp Director of the Antiochian Village, while also partnering with others in the reestablishment of Orthodox Christian Fellowship. Following those assignments, he served as mission priest, first in Tijuana, Mexico for three years followed by five years as the first Pastor of Holy Apostles Orthodox Mission in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He has been married to Khouria Vicky since 1994, and they are blessed with three wonderful (and now adult) children: Maria, Joshua, and Elena. Fr. Michael studied at St. Vladimir’s Seminary for two years before finishing his M.Div. at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, in Brookline, MA, where he also received his Th.M. following studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Beverly, MA, in the fields of Missions and Youth Ministry. He enjoys kayaking and backpacking, and follows politics and current events to examine the integration of faith into everyday life.
