Iconography Workshop—Schedule

June 19–25, 2011

Students for the Iconography Workshop should arrive on Sunday, June 19, 2011, and be ready to begin work at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 20th. The workshop will extend until Saturday morning, June 25th. We suggest participants allocate three hours for travel to area airports for departure on Saturday, June 25th.

NOTE: We have not yet scheduled chapel services with clergy, so we are at this time simply designating times for prayer with the term "Common Worship." Matins and Vespers may or may not be scheduled.

June 19, 2011 Sunday

1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.            Registration (with snacks): Rangos Building Atrium

5:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m.            Common Worship and Dinner: Germack Building Refectory

6:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m.            Introduction: Education Building, Room 301 (downstairs)—utility sink and sinks in both restrooms available  

 June 20, 2011 Monday— June 24, 2011 Friday

8:00 a.m.                                 Common Worship and Continental Breakfast (Refectory)

Morning Session

9:00 a.m.–12:00 noon           Instruction: Education Building, Room 301 (downstairs)

10:00 a.m.                                Coffee Break

12:00 p.m.                                Lunch: Refectory

Afternoon Session

1:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m.               Instruction

3:00 p.m.                                  Coffee Break

5:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m.              Common Worship and Dinner

7:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.              Independent work time; instructor will be available to help and to answer questions

At the end of Friday’s session (and throughout the day Saturday, if students need it) there will be a final wrap-up session in the classroom. Please fill out the evaluation forms and turn them in.

June 25, 2011 Saturday

9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.            Special seminar on church architecture with Andrew Gould; Education Building, 2nd floor, Bashir Auditorium.

3:00 p.m.                                Vacate rooms, drop keys off into key box in the Germack Building. Please hand in your evaluation forms.

If need be, iconographers may continue to have independent work time in Room 301 of the Education Building; instructor will be available from time-to-time, to help and to answer questions.
